2006 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix
Sunday Race

Alonso made a small mistake at the chicane which allowed Raikkonen to close up behind him. With the advantage of a tow down the long straight, Raikkonen almost passed him but Alonso blocked and hogged the inside line. Friggin' bastard.

Alonso is as you described him a "bastard"
Raikonnen was jsut plain out luck in the race aswell..he had Alonso covered but just wasnt able to do anything with the car

He could've passed him after the first pit stop, if it wasn't for that pit stop mistake.

:iconsoaringkite:
yeah, that was horrible that pit..probably lost him the race

Not when you can block like ridiculous when an actual passing opportunity comes by. I don't expect Alonso to sit there and I don't think he blocked aggressively, I'm just disappointed that Raikki couldn't take better advantage of a great opportunity.

Well, I don't know much about Raikki, but the longer you are in the sport, the more the driver's seem to be able to take advantage of things like that. Also, if this was towards the end of the race, Raikki might have been more worried about finnishing in a good place rather than wrecking the car trying to win on the last lap and blowing the whole thing.
